Lock & Co. once received a postcard sent from abroad addressed simply to 'the best hatters in the world, London'. Very little has changed since then, apart from perhaps the efficiency of the English postal service.

James Lock & Co. Ltd., established 1676 is the oldest hat shop in the world, as well as being one of the oldest family owned businesses still in existence.

The shop has served a plethora of individuals from all walks of life; rock stars, actors, royalty, and heads of state have all been to Locks to get hatted. However, be rest assured though the shop is not elitist and serves each and every customer through the door as if it were their first.

As well as the classic styles, a new range has now been introduced. 'Lock & Roll' meets the demand of the younger Lock shopper offering a fashion focused twist to the traditional favorites; the 'Beat' Satin Trilby, is a favorite of ours.
